londons harry potter studio tour

It feels like I’ve been recapping this Europe trip for a while now and it’s finally coming to an end. I’m excited to move onto new content now like packing tips, how to select the right souvenirs while on vacation, and cruise planning. That’s right, we’re going to Tampa at the end of March and then our first cruise vacation ever! We’re cruising on Norwegian and stopping in Belize, Honduras, Grand Cayman, and Mexico. Once I get my sea legs and have more information on cruise vacations tips I’ll be sharing some posts.

We started our final day in Europe by visiting Tower Bridge. It was a typical overcast London day but regardless it was still a stunning view. After we took the tube to the Camden Markets so I could get a crepe from a street vendor that I’d been dreaming of since the first time I was in London. Camden Markets have a much more localized feel, a bit artsy and grungier but still a fun visit for something different.

Our big adventure of the day was going to the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio tour outside of London. It was a bit of a hike to get there with a few tube stops/switches and then a bus but it was worth it.

The entire flow of the museum was really well done. After watching a short film about the magic of the movies, you enter into the Great Hall. It’s amazing because it’s as grand as you see in the movies! The only thing missing was floating candles on the ceiling.

The rest of the museum is taken at your leisure. There are sets, props, and costumes which really bring to life the entire Harry Potter world. Certain props were bewitched and behaved as if they really were magical. If you’re a Harry Potter fan (like I obviously am) then this museum should be an absolute must-do on your bucket list.

At the very end of the tour, you spill into a room that has the theme song playing and a full-sized replica of the entire castle and grounds. Phil and I both gasped when we stepped in!

It was the perfect end to a very busy and fulfilling trip. Although I don’t think we’re getting back to Europe until next year, I already can’t wait!
