We’ve been doing weekend trips touring our new city and are having an amazing time doing it! Last month we took the thirty minute drive up to Tarpon Springs. Tarpon Springs is a small city with strong Greek roots as Greek sponge divers settled there in the early 1900’s. It’s known as the sponge capital of the world and has small shops lining the streets selling sponges and shells from the ocean. Certainly a tourist destination and with the heavy traffic and crowds I’m not sure we’d go back but the lunch we had at the infamous Hellas was worth the visit alone!
