It has been over a month since I’ve written a blog post!! Work and life has truly been busy — but in the best way. We’ve celebrated some big moments with friends and family’s during weddings and I’ve been settling into a new job!
Another new big change for us — we’ve gone vegetarian! It’s been over a month since I’ve eaten meat and so far it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. My biggest motivator has been the enormous negative impact that animal agriculture has on the environment. If you’re curious yourself, I encourage you to watch Eating Our Way To Extinction. One of the best things we can do to help combat greenhouse gas emissions, that harm our environment in catastrophic ways, is by eating more plant based meals.
So with this, we’ve been exploring the amazing vegan restaurants or restaurants with vegetarian friendly options around Tampa! I’m happy to report that we’ve found some great restaurants and we’ve only scratched the surface.
Located in Armature Works, this vegan spot has meals that pack in incredible flavor. The Buffalo Mac and Cheese is a can’t miss!
The name implies it — fresh ingredients that are served up in delicious bowls. What’s great too is that this is a quick service, grab-and-go spot. You can go sans meat entirely or get their tofu which is really yummy.
A cute little spot in downtown Tampa. They serve hot sandwiches or you can grab-and-go. Their vegan pasta salad is one of the best vegan food items I’ve had to date — I crave it regularly.
I can’t get enough Taco Dirty and it’s because their food is out of this world. I stack my tacos with cauliflower and veggies and it truly doesn’t feel like it’s missing any meat. Plus, their vegan queso is amazing.
Super cute and trendy vibes, this is great for brunch or a girls night out. Although it’s not exclusively a vegan restaurant, I appreciate that they have clear labels on their menu for vegetarian options! I got the plant based taco platter with Chickpea Rojas but next time want to try their plant based chorizo.
Alright, so this isn’t in Tampa, but it’s that good that I need to mention it here. Located in Orlando, this vegan restaurant gets 5 stars as it’s not only one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve been to, but one of the best restaurants I’ve been to period. The fried “chicken” is so good I was convinced it was real chicken. An absolute must visit for all!
